Le Producteur

The wines of Château "La Blancherie" are steeped in over 300 years of history. The estate's exceptional Brédois terroir has played a major role in building the reputation of the great wines of Bordeaux and Graves. Several generations of winegrowers and harvesters have produced dry white wines remarkable for their freshness, fruitiness and finesse, followed by garnet-red wines with a fine, complex nose and unrivalled elegance. Our Fray-Bonnac family, passionate about wine and its values of respect, humility, tradition, culture and conviviality, has fallen under the spell of this exceptional estate. Our aim is to make the most of this Graves terroir, to create great Bordeaux and Graves wines in honor of past generations, and to educate and inspire young people to embark on their own winegrowing adventure. Georges Pauli, a renowned viti-oeno expert, helps and accompanies us in this challenge. The Baron de Montesquieu et de La Brède, 18th-century philosopher, writer and politician, was fostered for the first few years of his life by the village miller at the Moulin du bourg adjacent to Château de La Blancherie. We have therefore created a prestige cuvée, "Château La Blancherie, Le Berceau", in Graves Rouge and Graves Blanc. It's made from our best plots of land, to create an exceptional wine for your pleasure and ours. Our ambition: That your pleasure in tasting our wines is as intense as our passion in creating them.
